AIM AND OBJECTIVESAim:To run a conference for international parliamentarians on gender and politics;
facilitating wide and varied dialogue and knowledge-sharingObjectives:To consider:1. Case-studies of best practice, delegate experiences, research and innovations forprogressing gender equality in decision-making
2. The role of different stakeholders in encouraging women’s political participation3. Advancing the social, economic and political position of women through policy andlegislation
4. The role of the media in gender and politics5. The approach of different sectors in addressing gender imbalance
6. Policies and schemes which encourage women’s economic empowerment and addressaccess to, quality and duration of education for girls
