RE: request for a meeting with the Green 10

Dear Chair,I am writing on behalf of the Green 10, an alliance of the 10largest European environmental organisationsactive at EU level and representing more than 20 million people, to request a meeting with you and yourCommittee in order to discussthe programme of the Danish Presidency of the EU. We would appreciatevery much if also members of the Europaudvalg, Miljøudvalg and Udvalget for Fødevarer, Landbrug ogFiskeri could be invited to this meeting.Given the important role which the Danish Parliament plays in scrutinizing and guiding the governmentpolicy on Council matters, we are interested in exchanging views with you on what we believe could be themain pitfalls and opportunities during that time.A delegation of our EU Directors based in Brussels and the Directors of our Danish member organisationscould meet you, the members of your Committee and of the above-mentioned Committees, inCopenhagen, ideally in January.Finally I wanted to thank you again for your time and our very interesting discussion when we met earlierthis month in Copenhagen.I look forward to your response and to the opportunity to hear the views of your Committee on theupcoming EU Presidency.Yours sincerely,
