INVITATIONDear Sir/Madam,Onbehalf ofthePolishPresidencyoftheCouncil,the European Pa�liamentandthe European Commission,wearepleasedtoinvite youtoaHigh-LevelConferenceon theEuropeanUnion'sMultia�nualFinancialFramework(MFF)for2074-20,tobeheldonThursday 20andFriday21 OctoberinBrussels.ThefuturescopeandimpactofEUpolicieswilllargelydependon theshapeofthenextMFF, thedetailsofwhicha�enowunderdiscussion, onthebasisoftheEuropean Commission's proposalssubmittedinJune.The conferenceinOctoberwouldaimtoexplore how the Commission'sproposalsresonatewithothe�EUinstitutionsandwiththe MemberStates.ItwouldalsopromoteacoÍrmonreflection on the typeofaddedvaluewhichtheEUcanprovideandthewayinwhichtheUnion'spoliciesshouldbefunded in the future-takingintoaccountthecurrentandforeseeable stateofpublicfinances acrossEuropearidpotentialsynergiesbetween national budgetsandthe EU'sownbudget.
We shonglybelievethatthiseventwillprovide newimpetustothediscussionon the nextMultiamualFinancial Framework. Thisisalsowhy theactiveparticipationandinvolvement of NationalParliamentsintheConferenceis ofhuge importanceandrelevance.We wouldtherefore be mostgratefulifyoucoulddesignatetwoMemberstorepresentyourchamber on20and21OctoberinBrussels.ThesetwoMembers
