Designing,adopting and implementing such a policy mix will require the crafting of effective reforms and strategies forimplementing them. But, in addition to fiscal consolidation and structural reforms, effective global cooperation is alsoneeded.This event, organised jointly by the OECD and the Korea Development Institute (KDI), will serve as an opportunity toshare major outcomes of the “Making Reform Happen” project, launched in 2007, and other related OECD projectswith a broad spectrum of stake-holders, including policy makers, representatives of the business community,academia and the civil society at large.I have attached for information the agenda, a background note as well as an article on the subject from our OECDMagazine the “Observer”.
