Parliamentary elections have been called in the former Yugoslav Republic ofMacedonia for 5 June 2011. In anticipation of an invitation to observe these elections,President Petros Efthymiou has decided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to theseelections. He has appointed Mr. Roberto Battelli, Assembly Treasurer and SpecialRepresentative on South East Europe to lead this Observation Mission.This Election Observation Mission to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedoniawill be supported from the International Secretariat by Ambassador Andreas Nothelle,Deputy Director of Administration Marc Carillet, Presidential Advisor Andreas Baker andLogistics Officer Iryna Sabashuk. Those interested in participating are kindly requested toreturn completed forms to Iryna Sabashuk ([email protected]).Please find attached a registration form for Members wishing to observe theseelections. We kindly ask you to return the completed forms along with a scanned copy ofthe Members’ passport to the International Secretariat

before 23 May 2011.

Please notethat no late registrations will be possible. In addition, I would like to remind you that allobservers are expected to arrive in Skopje in time to attend the briefings on 3 June, and stayfor the observer debriefing on the morning of 6 June.I also wish to remind you that national parliaments are responsible for all expensesof their members and that all meetings and briefings will be conducted in English only.
