Tenaganita has reviewed the events and circumstances leading to the production of video / sand publication of articles in various fora by Politiken. It has , in particular , examined theinterview of Dr Ravindran Naidu by Politiken.

We are now amenable to say that the statement attributed to Dr Ravindran Naidu in respect ofpesticide poisoning cases from United Plantation is erroneous, given the general context of theinterview. We believe that it was made in the context of plantations in general. As in all cases ofambiguity, there could be 2 interpretations of the disputed facts. Dr Ravindran Naidu should begiven the benefit of doubt.

It is now Monday afternoon and I have not received any notice from your side. At the meeting we had at theDanish Embassy you told us that Tenaganita were present at the meeting between Politiken and Dr. Naiduand that Tenaganita could confirm that the doctor had been misquoted by Politiken.

We have to deliver our report by 14.00 tomorrow Malaysia time, so if we haven’t got any official statementfrom you before then, we will quote your statement as of the above.
