Honourable Mr. Villumsen,Pursuant to previous communication with your national parliament and your officialdesignation as the contact point on the above-mentioned event, we have the honour to invite you toparticipate at the Ninth session of the UNCCD Round Table for Parliamentarians, which will be heldin Changwon, Gyeongnam Province, Republic of Korea between 13-14 October 2011, in the contextof the Tenth Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the UNCCD.This event is jointly organised by the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and theUNCCD Secretariat, in close consultation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union. It will take place at theAmoris Hall, Hotel Pullman Ambassador Changwon City 7, 122 Daewon–Dong, Changwon,Gyeongnam, in the Republic of Korea.Building upon the experience gained from the format retained during the previous UNCCDForum for Parliamentarians, it is proposed to hold two panel sessions, which will focus on thefollowing topics:1.2.Achieving global sustainability through effective sustainable land management,Implementation of the UNCCD Ten-Year Strategy: the role of Parliamentarians.…/…Mr. Morten Villumsen
