France, on10 June 2011.
The World Water Forum aims to draw attention to the crucial importance of water forsociety and to propose concrete solutions to global challenges.The Parliamentary Process at the World Water Forum was created in order to give agreater voice to parliamentarians in the global debate on water, and to preparecontributions on a series of key issues such as transboundary waters, adaptation toglobal changes, and the human right to water. In particular, the creation of a “WaterLegislation Helpdesk” for the development of appropriate legal frameworks on water willbe discussed.An overview of achievements since the 5thForum will enable consideration of newmeasures and preparation of proposals to be submitted to the 6thWorld Water Forum.Mrs Agnès Nollinger,
