Hungary will hold the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the firsthalf of 2011. In line with the practice within the European Union and with a view to thecooperation among national parliaments, the Hungarian National Assembly will organize thetraditional meetings of parliamentary committee chairpersons. The agendas and topics ofthese meetings are in line with the general agenda of the European Union as well as with thepriorities of the Hungarian Presidency.Please allow me to kindly invite the chairperson of your Parliament responsible for regionaldevelopment and sustainable development issues to the meeting of Chairpersons ofCommittees on Regional Development and Sustainable Development organized by theHungarian National Assembly on 3-4 March 2011.I hereby kindly ask you to forward the invitation letter by the Chairmen of the Committee onLocal Government and Regional Development and Committee on Sustainable Developmentof the Hungarian National Assembly to the chairperson of the committee responsible for theseissues in your Parliament.Thank you very much for your kind cooperation!
