Time: 27 May 2011, 08:45 – 13:00Place: Danske Bank, Kuppelsalen, Laksegade 10The Polish Ambassador, the Head of the European Commission Representation and the Acting Head of theEuropean Parliament Information Office in Denmark cordially invite you to a conference entitled Growthand Jobs in Europe until 2020: the role of the EU.The economic crisis, the sovereign debt crisis, globalisation, ageing of the populations and climatechange and energy security are all challenges which call for a more dynamic European economy.The conference will discuss ways to increase economic growth and jobs in the European Union and willparticularly focus on the role which the EU can play.In a first session the discussion will focus on ways the EU by coordination and /or via some of its mainpolicies can contribute to create economic growth and more jobs in Europe. EU policies to be consideredwould be the Single Market, the European regional policies, energy policy and R&D policies.The second session will focus on how the next multiannual EU budget for the period after 2013 cancontribute to improve competitiveness, jobs and social cohesion in the European Union – the mainpriorities for the EU spending and ways to finance the budget.We look forward to seeing you.Yours sincerely,
