Dear Ms. Auken!We refere to the telephone conversation with your secretary Mr. Lasse,-and to the visit of the members of SlovenianParliament from 8. - 10 February 2010 to the "Folketinget", with Dr. Pavel Gantar, President of the Parliament as Headof the delegation.At that occassion delegation also meet Mr. Steen Gade, at that time Chairman of the Environment and PlanningCommittee who acceptet the suggestion of Dr. Gantar for the visit of Slovenian Committee on Local Self-Governmentand Regional Development.Following the above mentioned Committee suggest the Slovenian visit in Denmark to be in the end of May, beginningof June, September or even later in 2010.The main interest of the Slovenian Committee would be to learn more about:- the Danish experience in achieving the objectives about the reform of the local and regional self-government system,legislation framework, duties and powers of municipalities, system of financing, actions, with which partners in thereform process managed to combine the interest of the county for the integration, situation after the reform (firstpositive and negative effects) and information about the utilazation of EU funds fron the Cohesion and StructuralFunds.During the visit the delegation would like, given the possibility, to discuss with representatives of the Parliament,Ministry of Interior, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Regional and Local Government, Association of DanishMunicipalities and Regions, one of the Danish regions ( perhaps Næstved) and one or two of the minicipality of capitalcity of Copenhagen.The composition of the delegation would be head od the Committee on Local Self-Government and RegionalDevelopment, two members and Secretary of Committee and translator.We look forward to hear from you the suggestion for the possible visit.Best regards,Bogdan Benko, AmbassadorEmbassy of the Republic of Slovenia
