Working together for sustainable labour marketsInternational tripartite conference of the Baltic Sea Labour Network (BSLN)Dear Sir or Madam,We want to work together with you for sustainable labour markets in the Baltic SeaRegion.The Baltic Sea Labour Network (BSLN) is a transnational cooperation project of 22partners from 8 countries in the Baltic Sea Region. Never before have employees,employers, politicians and governments worked together to create sustainableregional labour markets in Europe.To promote positive development in the Baltic Sea labour markets, we will organisethe international tripartite conference of the Baltic Sea Labour Network (BSLN) on11 May 2010 in Vilnius, Lithuania.The conference is built upon national and transnational tripartite collaboration. Bybringing together politicians as well as active participants and experts from the labourmarkets, we want to combine knowledge and ideas in order to come up withstrategies, policies and practical solutions.The Conference will focus on three main issues:1) Development of the social dialogue in the Baltic Sea Region2) From grey to white economy3) Migration and mobility of labourThe conference will give the opportunity for employer and trade unionrepresentatives, policy-makers and experts to discuss the day’s themes andinfluence labour market policies concerning Baltic Sea Region.This one-day conference will take place on 11 May 2010 at the Litexpo ConferenceCentre in Vilnius, Lithuania. The conference is organised by employers and tradeunion in cooperation with the Balttechnika fair - the biggest metal branch fair in theBaltic States.Please note the attached preliminary programme about the meeting as well as theregistration form. We would kindly ask you to register by the9thApril 2010.We willprovide further information closer to the meeting.We are looking forward to your attendance at this event so that we can find togethersolutions for sustainable labour markets in our region!
