Emne: Gallup: Muslim West Facts project
Dear Mr Lauritzen
I have been given your address by Charlotte Hallin at the British Embassy in
Copenhagen, who is helping me to arrange a visit to Denmark in my capacity as a
special representative for the Muslim West Facts project, which is an
initiative by the Gallup organization in the USA to provide information about
recent opinion polls they have conducted in Muslim countries around the world,
and among Muslim communities in certain European capital cities. I attach
a short note giving more details about the project.
I believe that the subject matter of these polls may be of considerable
interest in Denmark, where I understand the issue of Muslim opinion and the
position of Muslim communities in European countries is a topical one. I
should very much welcome an opportunity to discuss with you and perhaps fellow
members of the Integration Committee of the Danish Parliament the data
contained in the Gallup surveys, and the possible usefulness of this data in
the domestic debate on these matters. I shall be in Copenhagen on Monday
16 and Tuesday 17 March, and hope that you might have some time during that
period to see me. At present I have no other appointments fixed, apart
from possibly a meeting at the British Embassy at around 1530 on Monday
the 16th.
I should be most grateful if you could let me know whether a meeting with you
may be possible; and whether you would like any further information on the
project meanwhile.
with best wishes
Henry Hogger
Special Representative for Europe
The Muslim West Facts Project
