Dear Mr. Chairman,I take this opportunity to greet you kindly from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Denmark andon behalf of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Denmark, Mr. Zdenek Lycka, I dare toconvey to you following request.The Committee on Environment, Public Administration and Regional Development of the Senate ofthe Parliament of the Czech Republic asks kindly for possibility to organise a consultation with therelevant Committee (-s) of Folketing in Copenhagen during September or beginning of October2009 (preferably in the week 42). The Czech Deputies want to combine the consultation inDenmark with the following working journey to Greenland afterwards.The matters of interest that the Czech Deputies would like very much to discuss with the Danishcolleagues from the Folketing are following:1) Environment: climate-energy package and (preparation of the COP 15); Danish system of naturepreservation; solution of the conflict between investors and interests of the nature preservation;2) Public administration: system of the public administration, relation and division of labour amongmunicipality, region, state; financing of the public administration; position of the mayor of themunicipality; experiences with the use of the EU-funds for municipalities, regions3) Parliament: functioning, relation MP – constituency, relation/cooperation Parliament -government

Dear Mr. Chairman, I can understand that the agenda of the interest is quite broad and probablyenhance even the agenda of other committee (committees) of Folketing. I dare to suggest even theinvolvement of the Deputies from other relevant committees of Folketing into the consultation. Iwould like to ask you kindly to suggest the relevant committee for the particular questions, whichare not in the portfolio of your Committee.
