During their visit to Denmark the delegation of the standing Committee on Home
Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands would like to be informed
on several aspects of the Danish public administrative organization on the central,
regional and local level:
- is there a separate central, regional and local level and how is it organized;
- is there a hierarchical and a financial relationship between those levels;
- what are the characteristics of these levels; their competences; their independency;
their autonomous financial force.
Recently there has been a major reorganization of the Danish public administration.
- which problems caused this reorganization;
- how was the political decision making process organized on this issue;
- how can the main viewpoints in the reorganization be described;
- how was the reorganization implemented, to the aspect of time, work force and finance;
- how is the reorganization evaluated; does it reach the aims, does it effect a substantial
saving or does it increase efficiency.
Quite a different issue the delegation would like to discuss with their
colleague-representatives is the Danish experience with the formation of a new
government and minority-government.
