In the run-up to the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen in December 2009, the University of Copenhagen and the City of Copenhagen are hosting an international conference - Urban Greening - on the promotion of carbon neutral buildings and city district.

The conference takes place on Monday 3 November, 2008 at the University of Copenhagen and will be free of charge. Attached you will find the invitation.

Speakers include practitioners as well as researchers and representatives of public authorities from United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and Denmark. The aim is to map the possibilities and barriers for the planning and construction of carbon neutral buildings and cities. The result of the conference will feed into the work undertaken by mayors and cities around the world preparing the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen.

So please book your calendar and register at http://climate.ku.dk/urbangreening/ where you will find the entire conference programme.

Feel free to forward the invitation to any colleague or network you think might be interested in participating in the conference.
