Dear Colleague,We have the privilege to invite you to the conference of theNetwork ofParliamentary Committees for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in theEuropean Union (NCEO),which will be held in Paris on 3rdJuly, 2008, duringFrance’s European Union presidency in the second half of 2008.This conference will take place at the Senate on Thursday, 3rdJuly. Prior to theconference, a welcoming dinner will be organized at the National Assembly, in theevening of the 2ndJuly.The debates will focus on the issues of professionnal equality between women andmen, as well as on women’s access to positions of responsibility.Mr Vladimír Špidla, European Commissioner for Employment, Social affairs andEqual opportunities, Mr Xavier Bertrand, Minister for Labour, Labour Relations, theFamily and Solidarity, and Ms Valérie Létard, Minister of State, attached to theMinister for Labour, Labour Relations, the Family and Solidarity, responsible forSolidarity, have already agreed to participate to this meeting.
