Udvalget har været meget optaget af bl.a. outsourcing/offshoring. I den forbindelse er forståelse af Indiens  udvikling  og  konkret  samarbejde  med  Indien  og  virksomheder  placeret  i  Indien  af  stadig større  betydning  for  den  forsatte   udvikling  af  et  internationaliseret  dansk  erhvervsliv.  Yderligere spiller Indien en til tider betydelig rolle på WTO -området.
