11^th November 2004 Dear Colleague As chairs of the All Party Groups involved in sponsoring the International Parliamentarians’ Petition (IPP) in the UK Parliament, we would like to send our congratulations and offer our support for the initiative in the Danish Parliament. We commend the IPP wholeheartedly to all parliamentarians around the world but, particularly, to our colleagues in the Danish Parliament at this time. Despite only launching in the UK Parliament on the 8^th September, already over 140 parliamentarians have signed in recognition of the need for domestic democratic control of the International Finance Institutions (IFIs). We hope that the IPP is also greatly supported by parliamentarians in Denmark and that by working together we achieve a reform of the IFIs that work democratically for all countries.
