Princess of Hanover participates in debate on violence against children Strasbourg, 26.08.2005 – The Standing Committee of the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assem   bly (PACE) will be meeting in Monaco on 1 September – the first time the Council is organising a meeting in that country since admitting it to membership last October. As President of the World Association of Friends of Children, which was founded by Princess Grace in 1963 and works to protect their physical and moral welfare, H.R.H. Princess of Hanover will be participating in a current affairs debate on violence and all forms of exploitation and abuse of which children are the victims. The Standing Committee’s meeting will be opened by PACE President René van der Linden and Stéphane Valeri, President of the National Council of Monaco. Other agenda highlights will include an exchange of views with Jean-Paul Proust, Monegasque Minister of State, and a debate on promoting the fifth United Nations World Conference on Women.
