PARTICIPATION IS FREE OF CHARGE
PLEASE REGISTER NO LATER THAN 25 OCTOBER 2016
The event will provide information on the
process behind the report and on how to
become a part of the IPCC author team and
what it involves. The goal is to secure high
visibility for the Danish expertise and research
in all aspects of climate: climate change,
impacts of climate change, adaptation, green
solutions and mitigation, economic aspects,
etc.
IPCC will produce three Special Reports, a Methodology
Report on national greenhouse gas inventories and the
Sixth Assessment Report (AR6). During the coming
months the international author teams will be nominated.
Danish researchers and research institutions play an
important role in building international knowledge on
climate change and its effects, and not least on how to
respond to climate change.
The work of the IPCC take place independent of the UN's Framework Convention on Climate Change, but
is central to the Paris Agreement. IPCC reports serve as a solid foundation for the Convention on Climate
Change, and the fifth assessment report was an important input to the design of the Paris Agreement,
which encouraged the IPCC to prepare a special report on limiting global warming to 1.5
